How to activate the application
Activation is a procedure of activating a license that allows you to use a fully functional version of the application until the license expires.
If you have not activated the application during installation, you can do so later. You are reminded of the need to activate the application by notifications that Kaspersky Anti-Virus displays in the taskbar notification area.
To run the Kaspersky Anti-Virus Activation Wizard, perform one of the following actions:
- Click the link in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus notification window that appears in the taskbar notification area.
- Click the link in the bottom part of the main application window. In the window that opens, click the Activate the application with a new license button.
Let us review the steps of the wizard in more detail.
Selection of the license type and entry of the activation code
Make sure you have selected in the Activation Wizard window, enter the activation code in the corresponding field, and click the button.
Requesting for activation
At the first step, the Wizard sends a request to the activation server to obtain permission for activation of the commercial version of the application. If the request is sent successfully, the Wizard automatically proceeds to the next step.
Entry of registration data
User registration is necessary for the user to be able to contact the Support Service. Unregistered users receive only minimal support.
Specify your registration data and click the Next button.
Activation
At this step, the Wizard connects with the activation server in order to finish the application activation and user registration after which the Wizard automatically proceeds to the next window.
Closing the Wizard
This window displays information on the results of activation: type of license used and license expiry date.
Click the button to close the Wizard.
