How to perform full scan of your computer for viruses
You can start full scan for viruses using one of the following methods:
- using the shortcut created earlier;
- from the main application window.
To start the full scan using a shortcut:
- Open the Microsoft Windows Explorer window and go to the folder where you have created the shortcut.
- Double-click the shortcut to start scan.
The task progress will be displayed in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus main window, in the section, in the window that you can open by clicking the Full Scan is in progress section in the Scan section of the main window when scanning, and in the context menu of the application icon.
To start full scan from the main application window:
- Open the main application window and select the Scan section in the left part of the window.
- In the right part of the window, click the Run Full Scan button.
The task progress will be displayed in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus main window, in the section, in the window that you can open by clicking the Full Scan is in progress section in the Scan section of the main window when scanning, and in the context menu of the application icon.
