Protection against phishing
Phishing is a type of online fraud that involves tricking users into disclosing their credit card numbers, PIN codes and other personal details with the objective of stealing funds.
Phishing often targets online banking users. Criminals create an exact copy of the website of a chosen bank and send emails to customers on behalf of this bank. They claim that a malfunction or replacement of online banking system software has resulted in the loss of user details, necessitating the user to confirm or modify such details on the bank’s website. Users click the link that takes them to the fake website, enter their details, which then end up in the hands of criminals.
Protection against phishing is ensured by Anti-Phishing implemented in the Web Anti-Virus and IM Anti-Virus components. Enable these components to ensure comprehensive protection against phishing.
